The fourth generation of the Thunderbird has evolved and features a more squared-off styling while retaining a similar grill design and quad headlights. Sequential turn signals have been added for the 1965 model year along with double sided keys and Disc Brakes. Fitted with an overhead valve V8 engine with 390 cu in (6.4 Liters), 300hp, 10.1:1 Compression Ratio, 4 Barrel Carburetor, Automatic Transmission, and a 3.00:1 axle ratio sitting atop a 113.2 inch wheelbase. Built on May 6th at the Wixom, Michigan plant, this extremely well preserved and original example still retains the factory applied Ford crisp white paint with rich red interior. Purchased new in Milwaukee, it moved to California for much of it's life with the same family. The car still wears its California black plate. Service entries support the 47,567 miles as original. Protecto-plate and dealer paperwork are included.The car has been in the current owners collection since the 80's.
