This 1968 Mercedes 250SL, 2-door, convertible, has both a Dark Blue soft top and a Silver hard top to match the Silver color of the car. It is powered by a 6 cylinder, 152ci. -170hp- engine, and has a 3-speed automatic transmission mounted on the floor. The 250SL had a new engine compared to the 230SL; produced the same horsepower; but had 10% more torque. It was basically the same body style as the 230SL, but the interior was upgraded with a pressure-absorbing steering wheel, better seat belts, and modified instrument lighting.

This Mercedes comes with an AM/FM radio, clock, A/C, bucket seats, power disc brakes front/rear, and both tops. The 250SL was actually a one year production vehicle with 17 built in 1966, 5,177 in 1967, and 2 in 1968. The base price in 1968 was about $6,500, and the car weighed 2,749 pounds. This Mercedes had over $14.000 spent on it, totally rebuilding the engine in 2007. This is a somewhat rare car with only one production year, so grab a bit of Mercedes history and enjoy a nice ride with the wind blowing through your hair.
